About the App.
This application was a re-evaluation of an already underway project, of centralization and organization of Dell's internal information called Matrix. Is was designed to favor two main groups: ERG groups and employees with low social adhesion at Dell. Networking is something very present in the company's culture, and this app was built through this desire for a greater interaction among this employees, focusing on the daily wellness and organization activities of Dell members.
Our main goal was to make communication more centralized, agile, helpful and organized, allowing them to engage with the entire Dell professional community.

Problem Solving, Takeaways & Results
Our job was to evaluate the materials already developed on the Matrix Project, rethink the functionalities and even the purpose of it. With the processing of the research already developed, the analysis of the old prototype and debates, our team was able to identify the main gaps on the application, reassess the priorities and propose a debriefing to the project.
Our main concerns were that the app had way too many features, especially for an MVP, and could make its the central porpuse a little bit blurred. Some features in the MVP were not validated in the research process we received. Mapping out the actors involved and Stakeholders impacted by the project's implementation was our solution to establishing priority features, which was key to a positive implementation. Also, the UI presented on the Matrix was outdated and the whole visual aspect presented on the MVP do not match Dell’s Brand Identity Standards. Our re-design was based on Dell's new Design System that is slowly being implemented on their platforms. With it being more clean, modern and less rigid. Our main takeaway at this whole process was that sometimes less is more, and sometimes it can be a real challenge, but necessary to select key features that are going to make your user's journeys as easy, dynamic and relatable as possible.
About ERG groups
The Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) help to create sense of community and inclusion within Dell Technologies, in which team members with common interests or backgrounds can come together to connect, learn and develop new skills, and impact the business.
With the desire for a greater adhesion among employees for the coming years, our goal was to make communication between these groups more centralized and agile, reaching a wider audience.
